Femdom Artwork: Intellectual Property Rights
» About » Reference

This is certainly one of the ways Alexandra would like to have me.And being a natural ‘pedi-slave’ I’d be happy to be.
Reprinted by permission of Humiliatrix.com
When I first started collecting the artwork that I use to illustrate some of my entries I was collecting them to amuse Alexandra and communicate my own fantasies. When she’s home they run as a screensaver on my PC.
I’d never planned to use them much on this site: images use up too much bandwidth. Then I found myself with a hosting account that allows me 192 Gig a month.
Many of my favorite images are by early 20th century European illustrators and artists who ceased work in the 1950s. Much of this has fallen into the public domain or at least the existence of any copyright is unascertainable.
At first I was careless and used work by, say, Sardax, without asking for permission. (He later wrote me. Sardax - who is strict in enforcing his rights - extended to me permission to occasionally use one of his drawings with proper attribution. Thankfully I’d been linking people to his site and encouraging them to join.)
Whizzer Black, Banjo and Barbara O’Toole I all asked for permission which each granted.
Some of the art I use is by artists whose name I don’t know. If you see work without attribution and can supply her or his name please leave me a comment.
In other cases the artist has no official site nor have I found an email address. Help in tracking them down will always be appreciated.
I’ve buried this request before in captions but realize I should make this clearer. I do respect intellectual property rights, particularly of small businesses and not all the ‘Femdom’ sites are part of the porn Mafioso.
And I’m really deeply interested in the history of F/m artwork. There isn’t much published on the history of woman worship much less the artists who have sought to capture its variety.
The need to make this clear was prompted by an email from Humiliatrix Princess Melissa Pentauk:
I might posssssibly forgive you, and I might possssssibly not sue your pathetic worthless blogging ass, if you do just as Princess says.
Numero uno) give a credit link to the images you purloin and post in your blog.
Not just my exclusive Sardaxes {{which by the way I paid the man a shitload for and he deserved every penny, he’s a prince}} but when you post a Jay Em or an Alazar or a Stanton, or any artist’s work, take the time to give a link back to their site. Do that for Princess Melissa. They all have sites, find them and link to them. Take the time to do that honey. Otherwise you are just ripping them off and destroying the commercial potential for really great fetish artwork, and it is very discouraging to those of us who are really trying to create sublime femdom art.
Ouch! But fair enough. I buy compact discs instead of run a P2P client. I’ve had some of my websites’ content ripped off.
Lest I make Melissa The Meanest seem mean in the wrong way she did add:
p.s. Your blog is really, really good honey. Well done.
To artists: if I’ve used an image you want removed or more properly attributed please let me know.

I’m glad you prompted me to write this entry. Should’ve done it some time back.
