About a week ago on Fetish Lore I initiated a thread:
… I remember the first time I saw Alexandra in a long, very plain, shapeless denim skirt. My little slavish heart went “Wow!” at the site of what might be considered a very pedestrian outfit.
Any of you have examples of conventional attire that evokes your kinky side?

Richard, what do you mean by evoking one’s kinky side? There are lots of “pedestrian” things that turn me on, but not necessarily things that make me want to tie someone up and hurt them.
Part of my response:
Speaking from my side. The plain denim skirt I mentioned somehow looks very authoritarian to me when Alexandra wears it. But much of what she wears gives me the ‘vanilla’ I’m so lucky feeling.
I can’t think of a dominant woman who said something like: “Every time I see a boy in a nice blue sweater I want to tie him up.”

Given human diversity there probably are women whose dominance is triggered by a specific article of clothing on guy. But very rare.

If I had my way, every man in my world would wear well-cut blue jeans and white linen or cotton buttondowns all the time. That combination makes me want to soak the shirt by throwing water and rip the blue jeans off. I love it.

I share that same fetish with guys. And had one boyfriend who made a point of dressing that way. (Not to mention showing up with mime makeup on once since he knew I thought that sexy.)

I actually have that fetish for women as well. I really just love denim, and everyone seems to look good in white. I also have a thing for guys in makeup.

Ooooh, I want to play this one!
The Steve Jobs dress code defintely brings out the kink. I see a guy in nice fitting jeans and a smart black tee shirt or black turtle neck? And a nice thick belt to go with?
Oh. My. God.
Can’t stop myself. Gotta go through the mental exercise of taking that belt off of him and doing my worst. Or best. Depends on perspective.
(Didn’t orginate with Jobs. I can trace it all the way back to Martin Sheen in some TV movies in my young days…but Jobs brings it out quite nicely, as do other men who are kind enough to dress like that.)

I too am a big fan of the casual button-down shirt look on guys. I still can’t think of anything that turns me on in a strictly kinky sense though..

Well, if I just chime in and say I like white underwear, jock straps, jeans and suits (my god, I am fucked for suits), that’s pretty much what a representative sample of about 50% of all the dom women in the world saying clothing fetishes - yes please.

Until recently, snug jeans and a cotton button-down shirt was pretty much my uniform (I read labels, and I don’t wear cotton/poly mixes), except when it’s warm, in which case I’d probably have a polo-style shirt.
Last year I started wearing more khakis instead of jeans, but as I drop off more weight, I’m sure the jeans will make a reappearance.
Personally, I dont’ get why some guys have such a hard time with suits, or even getting dressed up. Mrs. Edge found herself attracted to me because I always had this “preppy” look, which she found oddly sexy on me. Oh, and the deck shoes w/out socks. Does her in every time.

While I agree with the women about natty guys looking pretty some of us either find the clothes too confining - bondage without the fun - or are just born slobs.
When I was a lad I found looking like “rough trade” pretty effective.
