More Inexpensive D/s Slave Cage Ideas

Via email I got a suggestion inspired by Hannibal Lector’s prison in Silence of the Lambs: Plexiglas.

Because Plexiglas doesn’t afford even the slight occluding of the slave’s body that bars do I can see how this might make you feel like nothing more than a helpless object on display.

I decided to take my question about economical cages to Live Journal. BDSM on a Budget. The first suggestion was:

I am a new fan of pvc piping. Seriously, you can build anything with those things. You can get 10foot long lengths of pipe for like a buck fifty and the little connector pieces are really cheap as well. And the folks at home depot can cut pipe to size for you too.

Going to Home Depot’s site I saw how plausible the tee connectors make this.

Knowing someone would address this before hand I’d meant to get it out of the way in my initial posting:

Building an inescapable cage seems like a colossally bad idea to me. Suppose there’s a fire, or some kind of medical emergency? You’d be trapped.

I’m not really worried about a fire. Don’t see it as a serious issue unless we were to see how it felt for me to be left in the house alone caged. A key can easily left enviable but reachable. And if you want to make sure your slave didn’t cheat you can always use one of those seals American utility companies place on outside meters so they can catch tampering.

What if the person who’d caged you had a hard attack. Leave a cell phone near the cage. Not only can whoever is in the cage dial 911 to rescue you a friend can be called to free him.
