You Mean They Fake Bondage & S&M?
» BDSM, D/s, S&M: Speculations
Dan Savage, the only sex advice columnist I ever read talks to rope bondage blogger and maker, Twisted Monk, about the reality of the fancy Japanese bondage photos you see around the web.
“Many of the shots are the sort of thing where they intricately tie a woman up,” says Monk, “hoist her in the air for the few minutes it takes to snap the photo, and then immediately bring her down and out of the rope.”
Rope bondage is a great way to create a sensual connection
A life without skepticism isn’t worth living.
What you ask does that have to do with bondage?
Another from The Bishop. I like how she smiles as the cat walks across his back. I’ll admit to hating have pets about during play.
S&M Fantasy vs. Reality
Well, my friend, many of those fancy photographs and movie clips of intricate bondage and intense S&M, sorry to tell you: they are faked.
Faked is too harsh a word. But what the images imply happened often isn’t.
A vast percentage of the adult sites, including for sure Femdom sites, are owned by the billionaires of the lucrative adult entertainment industry. Yep, I know, it says it is Mistress Meanie’s website. Ms. Meanie is an employee of a company or you might say a ‘family.’
They employ able directors, cinematographers and editors to create their product. Zooming, panning, clipping out, juxtapositions: they are masters of this.
What you see isn’t necessarily what the slave got. Pros know how to fake all manner of acts and responses. The technicians behind them, quite masterly, earn their pay making exciting events seem to happen.
Good lighting and attractive models are a good sign that professionals created an illusion for your enjoyment. And we should thank them for it.
What is your point, Richard?
Many people take the jpegs and movies they watch and download at face value. They get a false idea of what is possible. What is safe.
So you focus on fantasies that impractical or will harm. That can leave you frustrated and disappointed when you try to live them.

Hello. I just stumbled onto your blog. Very interesting stuff. This was a good post. It’s true that most porn is faked (whether run of the mill or BDSM). it’s about creating fantasy. I think a lot of people see things online or in movies and imagine doing them, when in fact, they probably are not possible. For example, you might be turned on by the idea of suspending someone in super strict bondage and leaving them there for hours. But as you suggested, that just isn’t safe (as hot as the idea might be). I think it’s important to enjoy porn by remembering that it is fantasy.
