Bondage as Humilation

Can bondage be thought of as humiliation? Early I wrote of how the idea of being captive magnifies my sense of being property.

Depriving someone of free movement can't help but be a sort of psychic attrition, ignominy.

More so I feel is depriving someone of his or her senses or ability to communicate.

Blindfolds leave you unable to see what is happening, less able to anticipate what may be forthcoming. Uncertainty can't help but make you cringe. (Add earplugs and your world becomes only the touch of your owner.)

Being gagged, physically unable to speak, able only to make pathetic mumbling sounds seems deeply shaming.

Really the distinctions between being humbled, owned, degraded, punished are fuzzy in my own mind. Attempting to unravel them is a cross between seeing self-understanding and playing with nuances that I'm not always sure are actually present..

Hi, I love both bondage and humiliation (amongst other things) and can profess to say that it all depends on your state of mind. Your state of mind can be affected by positions you are forced into (EG: legs spread wide) but perhaps most importantly, the inclusion or lack of company. In the latter case, it would be more of a mental challenge to make yourself feel humiliated by bondage alone, there has to be an element of submission. You may feel ridiculous at first, but in private you are ultimately in control, where as surrendering totally to another takes that power away, and being helplessly at another’s mercy is where the humiliation comes from.

Your feelings?

Please share your feelings about Bondage as Humilation. Please stick to the topic of the entry. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
