I saw this Hammer movie when it came out. As a little boy I was so bored that I’ve never tried rewatching it.
Ursula Andress is mostly remembered as the original Bond Girl. My dim recollection of her was that she did have the right face and body for a goddess.
Especially those cheekbones.
I was toying with the idea of giving the movie another try but Netflix doesn’t have it. The film is out of print.

“She” with Andress is available, used, on videotape for $30 on Amazon (prices go up rapidly from there). I doubt either you or I wants to spend that much, though I’ll think about it.
“She” featuring Gahagan is now apparently out on DVD, which it wasn’t last time I checked. Kino Video, the wonderful folks who supply such classics as the remastered METROPOLIS (are you as taken with the beautiful robot woman as I am? Her birth is certainly a magic moment in film).

When I looked on Amazon earlier today I saw the VHS but also the DVD for under $15.00. Still more than I’d spend since I got the Dutch Venus in Furs there for about $7.00.
If you watch the earlier movie let me know what you thought of it. I wouldn’t expect too much but would want something that Alexandra could enjoy with me sitting at her feet.
Metropolis? It has been years but I do remember that exact sequence.

i always thought Ursula andress was the ultimate fem dom . I relished the scene where she has the savage criminals brought before her ( she seemed to enjoy examining each evil savage awaiting their punishment ). The way she seemed to enjoy punishing the men . Every glimpse of her face/lips showed she relished their terror and pain ( yet her look was so erotic and sensual as her lips parted while each criminal was punished) ( it was as if she was aroused by the act of punishing men ). I always dreamed of seeing her having these men brought before her naked . The best part was how they all seemed to whimper before her as she pronounced their punishment. I loved the way she seemed to enjoyed observing their terror and high pitched screams of pain. I loved the clips of her expression as they were screaming in terror as their punishments ensued . Each sensual parting of her lips was so delicious as the men screeched in pain and terror. I loved how she crooked her neck and parted her lips to get a better view of the punishments.She was the epitomy of a cruel sensuous arrogant queen .but i loved that the men deserved to be punished. So in a sense it was cruel justice.
