Lady Heather on CSI

» Entertainments

Having a TV that connects only to my DVD player I’ve never seen CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

But it hit me that some of you may be fans of Melinda Clarke’s role as ProDomme Lady Heather (or - it being primetime network television - hate it). She’ll return this coming Thursday in the episode Pirates of the Third Reich.

I am mildly interested in portrays of BDSM in popular culture so maybe I’ll get the DVDs from Netflix some day.

Or should I even bother?

Summaries of her earlier CSI episodes: Slaves of Las Vegas and Lady Heather’s Box.

Almost a year later I’ve started watching the show and saw this episode.

Pirates of the Third Reich is horrific and ugly. It is about a neo-Nazi that mutilates people.

If you have a compulsion to see every episode with Lady Heather you might want to skip to the last scene in which she is shown whipping the man who murdered her daughter. Having watched the whole episode I was in anything but an erotic mood.

I’ve decided to go back and watch the seasons that I’d missed. Just got through watching Slaves of Las Vegas the episode that introduces Lady Heather.

It is surprisingly respectful of both BDSM and professional domination. And Lady Heather is very likable if unbelievable. I did have to close my eyes during the few seconds that featured breath control play (which was the cause of death in the case the team was investigating).

I rather prefer to ignore the existence of “Pirates of the Third Reich.” The whole episode was creepy and I prefer not to think of it as part of Lady Heather’s story arc.

Lady Heather’s Box was frustrating.

Confusing the bottom’s ability to end a scene with actually controlling it always annoys me.

Their mysterious night together didn’t seem worth losing the mutual respect Grissom and Lady Heather felt for each other. Besides I felt the he would’ve told her that he needed to get the search warrant before calling for it.

Your feelings?

Please share your feelings about Lady Heather on CSI. Please stick to the topic of the entry. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
