The Bondage Master

Alexandra and I watched The Bondage Master last night. Having heard that it contains authentic Japanese rope bondage (Shibari) I thought we might learn something.
Tied up women were shown but not all that much. Mostly the film is your standard crime melodrama.
The most entertaining parts come toward the end. The S&M club owner (lawyer by day, dominatrix by night) used her whip when fighting the bad guys. And the bondage master’s skill with rope enabled him to use cords as a weapon.
The BDSM content was limited to a couple of scenes of the dominatrix putting on shows in her club: whipping and verbal abuse. More enjoyable than these scenes usually are. Possibly because bondage was treated as an art and BDSM wasn’t treated as something weird and unhealthy.
The voice actors who did the dubbing had unusually attractive voices.
Not bad but not a must see movie. Probably mildly entertaining for anyone who enjoys seeing BDSM elements in movies.
