Verbal Abuse
» Humbling
I've discovered that verbal humiliation is all in the tone of voice.
It isn't so much what Alexandra calls me but how she says it. Her contempt is an almost physical force, reducing me to nothing.
Maybe there are certain words that would wound me more, time will tell.

I definitely agree with Richard that the tone of voice is the key.
But I, for one, flee humiliation. That is a place I care not to go.

I love verbal abuse. I can’t get enough of it. In scene, I can take it all, because I know it’s part of the play.
I don’t get much outside of scene, which is probably why I like it so much, atoning for my faults, real or imagined.

For me because it is so potent I can tolerate only a limited amount.
Funny how the most trivial entry on verbal abuse is the one that gets comments.
