As a lad I was punished with either a leather belt or a switch, leaving both iconic emblems of discipline.
Often I’d wondered - understand I have a knack for making the simple complex what was the proper source and dimensions of a switch. Who better to ask that Ms. Darlene MacComb?
Select one? (You wimp, lol.) I would want at least a half dozen on hand before even considering a discipline session with them. A variety of lengths and diameters. Really they could be from anywhere or any type of branch, birch, switch, tree and so forth. Of course you want them to be “green”, which may be difficult at this time of year depending on where one lived. I prefer the “willows” (not sure what they really are) that grow in huge stands alongside rivers and streams here in NM. They have a unique smell and “feel” and I love them. But you really just want them to be,,,well I guess like the wand that is used to adjust venetian blinds. About that length and width. Although some a bit thinner and a couple thicker can come in handy. Its difficult to know until you are using them if they will break (the reason for them being green, whippy and supple). Thats one thing I like about using a variety of switches, you’re never sure what type of “result” you will get, like snowflakes really. So, about 3 feet long, and depending on the type I like them from the size of a Q-Tip to about a number 2 pencil, but of course I prefer to see those thin welts and not so much deep bruising. With the very thin ones I will grab 3 or 4 and use them as a birch rod. They cut through the air with just a whisper and don’t make much noise when they land full force on a bare bottom or things but (from what I have been told) feel like a very thin line of fire.

No more beating around the bush for me. About 10 years ago my wife and I had a long talk about my need for spanking. This fetish is hard for a nonspanko to understand. We also have a bush that we have no Idea what it is other than a red tip tree. It produces long strait stems with red tip leaves. The red tip switch is by far my favorite. It last for about two weeks and still works effectly once it dries. Best of all the switch does’nt hurt her hand and she is more willing to give me a good long hard switching when the time is right. The switch is perfect for a small hand like hers. The switchings have brought us closer together and our love and respect for each other grows more each day.
I was introduced to the switch by my Mother and Grandmother . A freshly cut switch was available at all times. My wife enjoys the switching stories that arise at family gatherings told by my sister’s and our cousins.

I’ll have to plant a Willow in the back yard.
A proper switch would transport me back to a primal emotional space.
