Burning hot pokers and S&M play

Well, I can offer you something close to a poker. They make barbque forks with built in temperature sensors to tell whether or not the meat is done. It couldn’t be held in open flames, but could easily be held over hot coals until a hot but not quite flesh-searing temperature was reached.
