Making of a Dominatrix book cover

I made a presents of Claudia Varrin's Female Dominance: Rituals and Practices and Mistress Nan's My Private Life: Real Experiences of a Dominant Woman.

To be honest I only glanced through the books. I didn't want to diminish any mystique by knowing that anything she might do to me came from her own imagination.

Mistress Nan's book didn't interest me though I imagine it is exciting erotica for many submissive men.

I didn't know Claudia Varrin was associated with the Other World Kingdom until after I ordered the book. While as I've confessed OWK has been a rich source of F/m imagery and ideas for me I was somehow skeptical that one of the OWK ProDommes could write a realistic and usable book.

But much of what I read in Female Dominance showed a really fine insight into the psychology of D/s in relationships including ones with lots of conventional affection. Finding Varrin's email address on her website I wrote her a thank you.

She replied:

Thank you for your kind words about my fourth book, "Female Dominance: Rituals and Practices," and for sharing it with your new domina. I hope you both enjoy playing from it as much as I enjoyed writing it. "Rituals and Practices" is part two of "The Art of Sensual Female Dominance," which is often referenced to. Perhaps "The Art" would be a nice addition to your collection as well. Remember: an unexpected gift at an unexpected time is a gift that will not be forgotten.

I didn't order The Art of Sensual Female Dominance because Alexandra doesn't need a beginner's guide. My impression is that may of them devote much time to making the newly self-discovered Domina comfortable with her role. But the Sublime Lady Citizen of the OWK's pitch is so gracious it makes me feel that I should. It isn't as if she makes much from an individual volume sold.

In scanning the web I didn't see that much for the woman who has just discovered her pleasure in erotic dominance. If there's a site you'd like to suggest I'd appreciate it if you'd post a link as a comment.
